Military Tribunate in the Careers of Roman Senators of the Severan Period. Part 5: Models of Careers of tribuni laticlavii and tribuni angusticlavi

Abstract

This text presents model career paths for people who began their public service with the rank of military tribune (tribunus militum). Distinct career trajectories emerged based on the type of tribunate (laticlavius or angusticlavius) and the social origin of the tribune. Despite these differences, both paths ultimately aimed towards the same goal: attaining a consulship.
