“Eos” is a peer-reviewed biannual journal devoted to Greek and Roman antiquity and classical tradition. It was founded in 1894 in Lwów (Lviv) by Ludwik Ćwikliński and is published by the Polish Philological Association (Societas Philologa Polonorum).
“Eos” welcomes articles (up to 40 pp.), notes (up to 5 pp.) and reviews (up to 10 pp. or longer review articles) written in Latin, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Contributions submitted to “Eos” must not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publishing elsewhere (either in whole or in part, in any language).
“Eos” limits publication to one article per author annually (excl. book reviews).
All articles should be accompanied by an abstract, of about 100–200 words, preferably in English.
Please submit an anonymised electronic version of your paper in MS Office or Open Document format, and, if necessary, in PDF. It should be sent to the address eos@ptf.edu.pl or directly to the editors.
Authors are required to adhere to the terms of the licence agreement signed with “Eos” upon acceptance of their article for publication. Any breach of the agreement will result in the rejection of the article for publication.
Authors may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools as an aid in the preparation of a manuscript; however, the Author remains fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and proper attribution of all content submitted for publication. The use of generative AI for substantive purposes, including the generation or significant rewriting of text, translation, summarisation, data or textual analysis, or the creation of images, must be disclosed to the Editors, specifying the tool used and the nature of its use. Routine language assistance, such as spelling, grammar, or stylistic correction, does not require disclosure. Authors are responsible for independently verifying all AI-assisted content, in particular quotations, references, bibliographical information, translations, and factual claims. AI tools may not be listed as authors or co-authors.
Upon publication, authors will receive a PDF copy of their contributions, together with a complimentary printed copy of the issue of the journal.
